There are areas in which we excel, such as producing and distributing energy. In this category, we’re a national leader.
With so much in our favor, why aren’t we better positioned for success? We’re facing serious “brain drain,” with a steady stream of young people leaving our state. They’re finding better jobs and opportunities elsewhere.
Companies looking to invest in or expand their operations are passing over Pennsylvania. Our uncompetitive tax structure and burdensome regulatory and legal climate are costing us dearly. These and other current factors are stalling our growth. They’re causing us to miss out on many opportunities.
It’s time to change course and start a new chapter in Pennsylvania’s story. The Together for PA initiative focuses on accentuating our state’s positives. It will increase our competitiveness by fortifying our infrastructure and strengthening our workforce.
The initiative’s roadmap embraces strategies to grow our economy. These include promoting innovation and increasing the number of good-paying jobs. By creating more opportunities, we will improve the quality of life for all PA residents.
Bottom line, it will take all of us working together to achieve long-term success. If we build upon all the good things our state already has to offer, we can make Pennsylvania a more desirable place to live, work and play. Join us!
